“This dream…this dream I can’t get out of my mind. An unbearable obsession. I woke up with this impression of your soul all over me. Your mind was a blurry form and was all I could see, as if you were an indistinct shape rather than a person. I felt the urge to write to you.”
- I. F., 2010
Here is another short by Isabelle Fexa, check out her her newly launched website here for more goodness.
Dat’s Dat, short documentary, 2009.
A glimpse into the life of an eccentric elderly woman living by the oceanside in the Maritimes.
Isabelle, who’m you may know from the multiple portraits I have posted to this blog, has just launched her first website. More than a year in the making, it puts on view a collection of projects including documentary shorts, video artwork, photography and writing. Collected together the projects on the site become a unique small universe unto itself, one where the minutiae of daily life is transformed and filtered into a cinematic world that is wholly her own. Dive in.
Such a great portrait, shot by Isabelle Fexa

We really liked Gert.
”Gert is such a nice man. I hope he has a woman taking care of him when he comes back at the end of the day”
